AI and Video Games at the Videogamecon Day II
Last Saturday, November 16th, I had the chance to give a talk titled “AI and Video Games” at the Videogamecon Day II event organized by AJE Granada. This event took place at the Breaker space of UGR Emprendedora.
Revolution in video game creation
During 20 minutes, we explored how artificial intelligence is revolutionizing the creation of video games in an unprecedented way. Today, it has never been easier to develop a video game thanks to the multiple tools available. From Claude’s artifacts to the AI suites from Unity or Flux’s fine-tuning to include your character or product, we analyzed a large number of tools, most of them free of charge.
Ethical and legal challenges
Additionally, we touched upon, albeit superficially, the challenges and rejection that AI generates in the sector due to the use of copyrighted material for its training.
Conclusion
This event not only offered a vision of the potential of AI in video games but also a space to debate about its ethical and legal implications. The intensity of the debate and the interest of the attendees reflected the importance and timeliness of this topic.
I would especially like to thank AJE Granada and Granada JAM for inviting me to be part of this exciting event. Thank you to all who attended and actively participated in this conversation so relevant to the future of the video game industry!
