In 2007, I embarked on an engineering adventure that would change my life: the S-80 submarine project. Although the project had been approved years before, it was that year when I had the chance to dive into this engineering and design challenge.
The construction of this submarine was a significant enterprise for Spain and for Navantia, the company that led the construction. One of the most impressive aspects of this submarine, despite being diesel-powered, is its ability to remain submerged for nearly a month without surfacing thanks to its innovative AIP system.
Today, November 30, 2023, we are celebrating the first anniversary of a tool that has revolutionized our digital life, ChatGPT. Its birth marked a before and after in the evolution of Artificial Intelligence.
Since that memorable day, Artificial Intelligence became democratized for everyone. Who would have thought that an AI could have a fluid and coherent conversation with us? ChatGPT has proven that this is not only possible, but it can be a vital part of our everyday life.
Functional training has become a popular solution for people with sedentary lifestyles, particularly for workers who spend most of their time sitting. But why is this type of training so important, and what benefits can it offer?
Functional training is a type of exercise aimed at improving the strength and flexibility of the muscles we use in our daily activities. Unlike conventional exercises, which usually focus on a single muscle or group of muscles, functional training works several muscle groups at the same time.
I just received the new Meta Quest 3! Even though I already have the Quest 2, what motivated me to get the Quest 3 is its capability for mixed reality application development. I believe that this capability marks a before and after in this type of augmented reality technology.
While the Quest Pro or those from Apple already offer mixed reality technology, Meta has managed to produce a high-quality product for all budgets.
I’m right in the middle of the book “Atomic Habits” and the truth is that I’m really enjoying it and finding it very useful. We’re talking about a book that in its Spanish edition is already on its 23rd printing. This book helps us to generate the habits that will lead us to become the person we want to be.
Many of us focus on achieving goals and if we manage to reach them, we often lose that “status” again.
Working is an essential part of our lives, but it’s not everything. It’s important to remember that our lives shouldn’t revolve exclusively around work. Weekends, and especially Sundays, are the perfect time to escape from the routine, enjoy nature, and recharge energy for the coming week.
One of my favorite destinations for Sundays is AlhendÃn. This small town, spelled with an interspersed “H,” offers some of the best cycling routes in the region.
Hello everyone! Today I want to share my experience at TRG23, previously known as Tarugo Conf. For those who don’t know, it is a conference for developers and product lovers in technology. It was created by David Bonilla, who had the idea of bringing together the subscribers of his newsletter in an event.
Despite the years I’ve been subscribed to his newsletter, I had never been able to attend before. But this year, finally, I had the opportunity to do so… and it was amazing!
The first Artificial Intelligence Congress took place in the historic city of Granada on the 22nd and 23rd of November 2023. Despite being a political initiative, this event is a crucial step if Granada wants to become a benchmark as an Artificial Intelligence hub.
The congress had up to four tracks, which turned out to be excessive. The quality of the presentations was not uniform, which made it clear that quantity was prioritized over quality.
Yesterday we had the opportunity to gather as members of the ALHDRON association to enjoy an exciting activity: flying our drones in a safe space. This activity is more than just a hobby, it’s a break from the work routine and a release of adrenaline.
The hobby of flying drones is very special as it requires knowledge of multiple disciplines such as electronics, spatial vision, flight, and even soldering to repair our own drones.
Last Saturday, November 17th, I had the opportunity to serve as a jury member at the 4th Edition of the Ideas Factory organized by the University of Granada (UGR). It was an exciting event where UGR students presented their innovative ideas that they had come up with and worked on in just 48 hours.
A total of 7 ideas were presented, all very well executed. I was impressed by the level of presentation and the validation of the ideas.
