December Reflections: My Old Technology Blog on Wordpress
December, the month where we reflect on what we have done during the year, review our achieved goals (or not), and prepare a new list of resolutions for the coming year. Recently, after reading “Atomic Habits”, I decided that I wanted to recover the habit of writing daily. Sometimes just a micropost that would almost fit in a tweet, but always something.
Remembering my beginnings on Wordpress
This, however, is not the first blog/site on which I write. Back in 2009, I opened an account on Wordpress.com and started to publish thoughts, articles, tutorials… The last post just turned 10 years old!
Jeffrey, the wave butler
One of the posts I remember most was about Jeffrey, the wave butler. Do you remember Google Wave? That great bluff by Google? At the time, I created an assistant that you could invite to conversations and it would help you… Does that sound familiar? Everything comes around again! But now, our assistants are more “intelligent” thanks to generative AI.
Towards the future
Although it’s a bit embarrassing and much of the content is more than deprecated, I was excited to bring back that memory of the blog now. I hope to be able to maintain this healthy habit of writing every day.
